Body found in South Jordan

Scott G Winterton, Deseret News SOUTH JORDAN — A body was discovered by construction workers arriving at work Monday morning. The body was found in a field near 11200 South and 6100 West. South Jordan Police Sgt. Sam Winkler said very little information was known about the body, including whether the victim is a male or female, juvenile or adult, or if the death was the result of criminal activity. The body was discovered about 7:50 a.m. Because this is the construction crew’s first day back following a four-day weekend, and because of snowfall in the area, Winkler said it was not immediately known how long the body had been there. Additional details will be posted as they become available.
