Adobe Stock image SANDY — A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday after he was shot in front of his house. The incident happened just after 11 a.m. near 1100 East and Saphire Drive (9600 South). Police responded to a report of shots fired and found the victim in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, said Sandy Police Sgt. Clayton Swensen. The boy later died from his injuries. His name was not immediately released. No arrests had been made and no motive was immediately given for the incident. Swensen said witnesses were being interviewed by detectives to determine exactly what happened.
