Steve Griffin, Deseret News Morgan Farr, 15, becomes emotional after placing a sign honoring her father, U.S. Army Reservist Jared Paul Farr, who died in 2019, while setting up for Operation Hero’s drive-thru Memorial Day display at Station Park in Farmington on Friday. Farr joined her teammates on the Roy High School drill team to place 281 yard signs and 50 American flags in honor of Utah service members who have died while in service since Sept. 11, 2001. The signs include a hero’s name, rank, military branch, angel date and a picture. Families are invited to drive or walk past the display through Monday.
